Gardom's Edge boasts an exceptional cup and ring marks example, alongside a number of other archaeological attractions. A striking standing stone with a unique angle grabs attention, believed to date back to the bronze age period when cup and ring marks were prevalent (2,500–800 BCE). Recent studies hint that this standing stone was intentionally positioned at its current angle, surrounded by packing stones at its base. This has sparked speculation about its astronomical importance, possibly serving as a seasonal tracker by monitoring shadow changes on the stone's surface. Despite this theory, it remains challenging to verify due to the absence of comparable standing stones in the surrounding landscape.
