Gardener's soil funnel for paper pots and seed trays
thingiverse
Paper pots made from old newspaper are an excellent sustainable tool for the hobby gardener to plant seeds in. Crafting these pots is a breeze and takes little time, but filling them with potting soil can be tricky when using smaller sizes, making a funnel extremely useful. I purchased a "Paper Pot Maker" by Burgon and Ball primarily because it offers three different sizes in one pack, but any device that fits the middle size of this product would work just as well. A simple design makes adapting to various sizes effortless, should the need arise. As demonstrated in a photo, I found this funnel incredibly useful for filling seed trays as well: Refilling a tray after removing some plants proved to be very convenient with this tool (QuickPot for 56 plants http://www.herkuplast.com/de/programm/QuickPot/Standard.html). I am thoroughly pleased with the result. Cura indicates that my print took approximately 17 minutes or 51 grams of filament, making it suitable for a 50-gram test package of filament.
