Gardena2Quadro with Flow Limiter
thingiverse
The slide of the quadro/moveandstic monkey bars has a port for the garden hose to speed it with water, but there are two issues: 1) it's not possible to connect it easy an quickly with the hose (like "gardena") and 2) the flow would be very high (5mm inner diameter) which causes high water consumption an muddy surface at the end of the slide. My connector is mounted on the downside port fo the slide and clamped tightly by two EN-ISO 4762 M3 screws with hex-nuts so its almost leakproof. The other side fit's to a standard gardena hose coupling for a quick connection. The adapter limits the waterflow flexible. So it is possible, to connect the hose an let the water flow for a longer time until the kids are done with sliding. The inner nozzle for the flow limitation was not that easy to design and print. Such small structures are not easy to print and/or do not withstand the pressure of approx. 4bar. Futerhmore the water has to be diverted by the nozlle. Otherway it would be splahing out widely off the slide through the hole... After some tests I decided to use a countersounk screw for an adjustable flow limitation and a strong diversion of the water flow. For this reason you have to pause the print and insert the nut. Two small waterchannels bypass the nut. By screw it more into the adapter you can reduce the flow until zero. For my opinion a flow of 0,5l/min is optimal to keep the slide wet and a low water consumption at the same time. You'll need: 2x EN 4762 M3x14 2x M3 hex nut 1x M2.5x14 for the nozzle 1x M2.5 hex nut tor inside the print
