I had this trusty old adapter to connect my Gardena plug to a large 25mm or 1" hose. Unfortunately, it snapped in two, but then I spotted an opportunity to rebuild and upgrade it - making it stronger, faster, and above all smaller. A crucial component is a rubber ring - I salvaged the old one from the broken plug. Initially, I crafted a replacement adapter with the screw part, but soon realized I could simplify its design.
