I Made A Several 4x4 Garden Trellises Cheaply By Using Low-Cost Materials And Printing My Own Connectors. For Each 4x4 Trellis: Buy Two 10-Foot Rigid 3 3/8-Inch PVC Electrical Conduit Sections (Approximately $2 Each). Purchase One Hundred Feet of Polypropylene Clothesline (Approximately $6). Acquire a Package of Large Zip-Ties - Need Twenty Per Trellis. Print Four Right Angle Connectors. Print Four T-Connectors. The Total Cost is $10 to $12. I've Found the Electrical Conduit Cheaper Than Standard PVC Meant to Carry Water. Cut the Conduit into 4-Foot and 6-Foot Pieces. Drill Holes Every 4-6 Inches Across the 4-Foot Piece, and Drill More of the Same for a Length of 4 Feet Along the 6-Foot Piece. I Printed the Connectors in ABS Since They'll Be Outdoors Year-Round. I Used Two Connectors Per Joint (Front and Back). Drill Holes in the Pipe Corresponding to the Connector's Holes, Then Use Zip-Ties to Fasten Them to the Pipe. If You Keep the Flared End of the Electrical Conduit in Place as the Ground End of the 6-Foot Piece, Then You Can Print a Spike & Insert It into the End to Make the Trellis Easier to Put into the Ground. Run the Clothesline Both Horizontally and Vertically, and You're All Set with a Maintenance-Free, Low-Cost, Garden Trellis. Happy Gardening!
