Garden Statue - Boy with Goose

We've had an antique statue sitting in our backyard for years, a family heirloom that's been passed down through generations in my wife's side from Louisville, Kentucky. It stands about two feet tall and has a spout protruding from the goose's beak where you can pipe water to create a small fountain. The statue has been repainted numerous times over the years, resulting in thick layers of paint that are now peeling off, but it still exudes character. I decided to scan this statue and see if I could print it out in three dimensions using 3D printing technology. First, I printed it at the exact size specified by the STL file, but I felt the details were too small to be fully appreciated. So, I scaled up the image about three times its original size and reprinted it, which resulted in a much more satisfactory outcome. Overall, I'm pleased with how this first-time 3D printing project turned out. For comparison, you can see a video of the 123d Catch rendering process here: https://youtu.be/lATga58Yqdc
