Garden Solar Light

Garden Solar Light

thingiverse

Outdoor solar garden night light project. Uses electronics and a chain of LED lights. If you already have a defunct or broken set of night lights and you want to create your own 3.7VDC LiPo rechargeble version, with both solar and USB port (for winter), then this puppy will do the job. The Solar circuit has a over/under voltage protection. The charger circuit is wired directly on to the battery terminals (in parallel), The solar circuit comes with instructions, which is easy: +- (S)olar; +- (L)oad; +- (B)attery. The Solar circuit also has three modes: bright; low and off. Between 10-20 LED's can be driven with this circuit. The main thing about this little adaption, using off-the-shelf electronics, is that it will last. The cheap lights and electronics, that you normally buy online, start to fail. I suggest you seal the wire end of the LED's, as come winter, corrosion will set in.
