To extract textures from a .skp file, there are several options depending on the software used. With Sketchup (free), export as a 2D graphic under File/Export/2d Graphic. Another method is to export as a COLLADA file (*.dae) in the File -> Export -> 3D Model menu, then locate the textures in the exported folder. C4D trial version automatically generates a texture folder next to the .skp file upon import. For 3ds Max, textures are stored in ..3dsMaxsceneassetsimages when imported. In Rhinoceros 3D (trial version), open Material Editor and select any material with a texture; click on the texture name and choose the three-dot button to find all textures in ..AppDataLocalTempembedded_files directory. Feel free to copy and paste these textures to your desired folder.
