A low-power ESP8266-based movement sensor board with PIR functionality is presented here. The design includes pre-drilled holes for secure wall or ceiling mounting, as well as a dedicated area for the perfboard. Additionally, there's an opening specifically designed to accommodate the PIR sensor. The entire design can be viewed in Tinkercad at https://www.tinkercad.com/things/02RnPwAiPX2. Lessons learned from this project include: - A 2mm internal gap on both sides of the board worked exceptionally well. - Including a peg at each corner of the PCB is crucial for stability, even if it's not necessary to screw it in place every time. - When adding space for tolerances, pay close attention to maintaining symmetry. - Making the PIR sensor board removable was a lifesaver when wall-mounting; modularity truly shines!
