My garden tap features an old 5/8 inch BSP connection. Most modern hose adapters in the UK are either 1/2 inch BSP or 3/4 inch BSP. The availability of fittings and adapters is quite limited. I discovered a suitable option on Amazon at https://www.amazon.co.uk/Threaded-Outside-Adaptor-Hozelock-Connector/dp/B07H51MNKC, but it cost £6 and shipping would have taken some time... so I decided to create this adapter instead.
