Create a sturdy spinning pivot for your garden that can be directly screwed into wood, providing a long-lasting mount. Design this spool to accommodate a 1/2 inch diameter lag screw, but feel free to adjust the size to fit your existing fasteners. I manufactured these spools using carbon fiber reinforced PETG to ensure they withstand heavy use and exposure to sunlight. The spool features three surfaces that come into contact with the fastener, minimizing friction and allowing for smooth spinning. This thoughtful design enables effortless movement. UPDATE December 2018: To further enhance durability, I introduced a thicker version of the spool, reducing the fragility of the top surface.
