The GARCAD hotend excels because it's water cooled, making it incredibly cool above its water block - a major advantage that eliminates the need for the UMO aluminum plate. Its compact and short design makes it easy to increase the UMO Z-print range by about 8 mm. Early beta test prototypes of the GHE are shown in photos, including an aesthetically pleasing version featured on the GARCAD website used in a recent Z-height comparison photo.
