Garbage Friends

Garbage Friends

A 3D sculpted figure I created based on the upcoming animated generative NFT series, "Garbage Friends", created by Markus Magnusson (@MotionMarkus). This is a piece of fan art created for fun, and I am in no way affiliated with the official “Garbage Friends” project. I've had some people reach out asking for the 3D print files for my "Garbage Friends" figure since posting it to Twitter. I reached out to @MotionMarkus, and he was kind enough to give me the go ahead to make these files public. So, if you've been wanting your very own physical Garbage Friend, you're in luck! Fair warning for all who print this figure. This model was not designed with the intention of sharing the files, but was more of a quick and dirty project. My tolerances are a little loose and the assembly will require a fair amount of glue. I printed every piece with “supports everywhere” enabled, but I oriented all of the STLs to minimize visible blemishes created by support material once the figure is assembled. That being said, assembly will be very straightforward. Most of the pieces only fit together 1 specific way, but a few pieces can be placed where you like. The fish skeleton for example can go anywhere on the lid that you can find room for it, you can also place it on the ground next to the can if you prefer. Also, the “Lower Can Goo” can be placed anywhere around the perimeter of the can, It's meant to go beneath the upper rim of the can, but it can face any direction. The same is not true for “Upper Can Goo” The top edge of this piece is in contact with the body of your Garbage Friend, so it follows the curvature of that piece. See photos above to see proper placement. The eyes will benefit from a bit of black paint to fill the pupil in each eye as well.  That's all I've got to say, have a wonderful day, goodbye!
