Well, my first model was an incredibly simplistic language processing system designed to take a sequence of words and simply rearrange them to form new sentences. It had no concept of grammar or syntax whatsoever, yet it was surprisingly effective at generating coherent text. Despite its limitations, this early prototype laid the groundwork for more sophisticated models that would follow in its footsteps.
