Garbage bag holder clips - use grocery store bags
thingiverse
You folks who insist on using grocery store plastic bags to cover your trash cans instead of regular tall kitchen trash bags, listen up! I'm talking to you - the ones who refuse to spend a little extra for something that works better. My girlfriend is one of you and it drives me crazy. Every time I try to throw something away, the bag slips off or the item misses and goes to the bottom, forcing me to fish it out and delicately place it in the grocery bag again. These simple clips are designed to solve this problem by holding the grocery bag more securely. The bag slides on and off easily, but the angled pegs help retain it in place. To secure them, apply some double-sided mounting tape to the corners of your trash can or poke a few holes in the can and attach zip ties to hold them firm. I took an extra step by applying 5-minute epoxy around the base of the pegs. As a 3D printed object, it doesn't have the strongest layer strength, so I knew some of my prototypes might break off. But they're probably strong enough as is - until someone bumps into them, that is!
