I'm creating a counterweight object for my garage shutter to balance its weight. When I adjust the main door's weight, I need to counterbalance the new weight on the door side. To build this object, I made a simple container with a hole that attaches to the gear using a screw. To increase the weight, I fill it with small lead balls. I purchased some lead plates designed for balancing car wheels and found they work perfectly and are more stable (check out the photo). I secured them in place with glue for added stability.
