thingiverse
Do you often worry about whether a car is already parked in the garage when you arrive home? If so, a garage radar system could be just what you need. A DIY solution using an Arduino board paired with an ultrasonic sensor allows you to determine if there's a vehicle present in the garage. To visually indicate this information, an LED light outside the garage flashes in varying patterns depending on whether a car is inside or not. As an added benefit, potential thieves are likely to believe that the garage is equipped with an alarm system. The radar unit itself is secured to the garage ceiling using TVP zip-ties, while the LED holder is attached using duct tape.
