Garage French Cleat Hanger
thingiverse
I'm currently crafting a garage organizer similar to slat wall using French cleats. It's a 3-inch strip of plywood with a 45-degree bevel on one side that you can hang items on - anything really. This design is often used in hanging cabinet uppers. Here's the model for attaching to the wall cleat, which costs $3 to print and comes predrilled to accept a garage hanger from Amazon. The bottom screw, counter sunk to prevent lifting when grabbing tools from the hook, strikes underneath the cleat without leaving any holes.
