To retrieve textures from a .skp file, use appropriate software such as Sketchup (free), Cinema 4D, 3ds Max, or Rhinoceros 3D (trial version). For Sketchup, export the image under File/Export/2D Graphic. For C4D, importing the .skp file automatically generates a folder with textures. In 3ds Max, textures are stored in ..3dsMaxsceneassetsimages. Rhinoceros saves textures in Textures section of Material editor under ..AppDataLocalTempembedded_files directory. Alternatively, you can export the .skp file as a COLLADA (*.dae) file and locate the textures in the generated folder.
