Garage Door Pulley Wheel

Garage Door Pulley Wheel

thingiverse

This is just a pulley wheel for garage doors with springs that run along the tracks. Mine had disintegrated at some point, making the door impossible to use. I didn't care for the other options I found online, so I made a better one. I printed this using standard resin with no hollowing and it's holding up very well after a few months. This would probably work reasonably well with PETG or ABS or nylon filament too. Most garages probably will get hot enough in the summer that PLA isn't a great fit. The inner diameter (ID) is 9.8mm, and in my application, there was a steel bushing that goes into the middle, and a 1/4" bolt passes through the middle of that (and all the other hardware). I replaced the original rusted mild steel nuts with stainless steel locknuts with the nylon inserts. And the rusted bolts with stainless versions as well. I think the total cost for 4 sets of hardware was around $4 US at the local Ace Hardware.
