This is specifically designed for the internal worm gear found in most garage door openers. Before installation, be certain to lubricate it thoroughly. I'm not entirely confident that the sweep angle is perfectly accurate, as I based my measurements on my stripped gear and online images of new ones, although I did use calipers to verify other dimensions. The STL file has a relatively low chord height, which results in a print file size large enough to achieve precise gear production. To simplify the process, I approximated the teeth with a curved involute spline profile, but it was purely an estimate - creating actual involute profiles would be excessively labor-intensive for a $7 part from Walmart that I'm trying to replicate using PLA. If this design proves successful, I recommend allowing the door to open fully before parking your vehicle underneath - it's crucial to avoid any accidents due to a 3D-printed gear!
