Garage Door Opener Case
thingiverse
If your old Chamberlain garage door opener is past its prime and the casing has finally given up, here's a solid replacement that you can create for yourself. To ensure an easier fit, I reduced the lower section by a single percentage point - it still had to be assembled at 100% but it wasn't impossible. Two flexible pushers under the switches help keep everything functioning properly. In addition, I added two supportive pads underneath to stop the circuit board from warping and distorting over time. Furthermore, a battery compartment section was integrated to prevent the battery from moving around while you're trying to open or close the door. With the printing specifications being crucial in bringing this design to life, here's what worked best for me: using PLA at 0.3mm height gave a sufficient balance between durability and flexibility, which are must-haves when working with sensitive components like the switches inside. Here are the exact print settings that helped achieve success: Printer Model - Folger Tech 2020 Raft - None Used Supports - No Needed Resolution - 0.3mm Perfectly Smooth Finish Infill Pattern - Not Required for this particular design
