Cartesian Coordinate Aid designed with BySoft 7 / Solidworks. POC was run on an Bystronic Xpert40/1030 machine equipped with backgauges for automated production. Besides the difficult backgauge situation we will encounter two further problems. Number one are the very short flange lengths what might lead to unwanted deformations due to material characteristics which I would try to address with a very narrow die width of 4mm. Number two is the tapered bend (pic Problem 1) here I would just go ahead and see how much it will deform. If deformations are too much adding a cut out. I would appreciate your ideas for countering deformations of very short flanges.
