The Hindu elephant god Ganesha is shown sitting on an elevated lotus seat, blessing with one hand, holding his favorite sweet dish ‘moodak’ with his other. He is never shown eating or enjoying the moodak signifying not being attached to the results of your efforts but focusing on the effort itself. With his back right hand he carries a goad, used by elephant handlers to direct an elephant, discipline it if need be. With his back left hand, Ganesha carries a noose ued to capture difficulties helping to ease the path to success.
