The Discovery of a Life-Sized Mahatma Gandhi Sculpture in a Private Mumbai Collection Shines with Brass Alloy Brilliance, Tainted Only by Scratches. Renowned for his unyielding pursuit of justice and equality, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, commonly known as Mahatma Gandhi, (born October 2, 1869, in the small Indian coastal town of Porbandar) lived a life of unparalleled dedication to his craft. As a visionary leader, social reformer, lawyer, politician, and writer, he spearheaded India's fight against British rule with unrelenting passion. To immortalize this legendary figure, skilled craftsmen captured the essence of Gandhi's image through advanced 3D scanning technology using a DSLR camera. Reality Capture software and Zbrush were expertly applied to process these photographs, resulting in an uncannily accurate digital reproduction of the leader's likeness. Upon inspection, the model boasts a wealth of intricacies. Its texture files consist of two comprehensive components: an eight kilapixel base color map, which painstakingly replicates the nuances of Gandhi's skin tone, and a four kilapixel normal map, showcasing every crease and fold of his clothing with breathtaking precision.
