Freedom Follower and Proponent of Peaceful Resistance. A lifelike sculpture of Mahatma Gandhi, by the name Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, (born October 2, 1869, Porbandar, India—died January 30, 1948, Delhi), was an Indian lawyer, skilled politician, passionate social reformer, and talented writer who spearheaded the freedom struggle against British dominance over India. Found in a private collection in Mumbai, this sculpture is an exquisite tribute to Gandhi's vision for a violence-free society. The digital reconstruction process began with capturing 3D data using a DSLR camera. Advanced photogrammetry techniques and 3D sculpting software—Reality Capture and Zbrush—helped to create the highly detailed digital model. This intricately crafted 3D model includes two distinct texture files: an ultra-high-definition (8K) base color map, capturing every nuance of Gandhi's appearance, and a high-resolution (8K) normal map, showcasing his intricate facial topography in vivid detail.
