Gandalf vs2
myminifactory
Hello there! I took a unique approach by modeling Gandalf in Zbrush, then bringing him to life through 3D printing. To achieve the desired look, I applied a white primer, which helped mask the visible print lines that initially bothered me. I'd already shared this experiment on other platforms, but I was eager to push it further. This particular model started as a black PLA 3D print, and after giving it a coat of white primer, I noticed a significant difference in its finish – it looked smoother than if I had added a painted layer. As for the model itself, I've made some tweaks to ensure its integrity without altering its overall shape or definition. The process involved modeling Gandalf in Zbrush, then using dynamesh to merge components and decimate them to reduce polygons. A final clean-up with Meshmixer helped refine the model's details. I'm excited to share this update with you!
