Gandalf Bust No Base
thingiverse
The original Gandalf bust was not manifold so I fixed the holes in the model. I also thought the base should be a little taller or not there at all, so I decided not there at all and sliced off the base completely. I have seen the makes that are covered in tree supports. If you use Cura and select make overhangs printable this model prints with no supports just fine. I used 70 degrees for my overhang angle. I have included a close-up of the nose so you can see the changes this makes. It tapers the bottom of the nose down a bit and deletes the nostrils completely. There are some other subtle changes but you will not notice them. In fact you would not notice the nose had I not pointed it out. The print pictured was done at 145% which is as big as I could go on my Ender 5. Happy printing!
