This gaming mouse design is the result of in-depth research of numerous mouse designs. I started by building a basic model and then thought what I could integrate into the design to make this simple mouse stand out from other designs. I wanted to incorporate a gaming style and feel, whilst maintaining an ergonomic design.Regarding research, I found several similarities between various gaming mouses for example; the scroll wheel, two top buttons and side buttons. After thorough analysis, I decided to incorporate these basics ideas into my model with a personal touch. Below I have highlighted the parts of this design that makes it such a unique an innovative product, these are:- The scroll sphere: For me this is what stands out most in the design. Not only does it allow to scroll vertically like a normal wheel, but it allows the user to scroll laterally.- The hand rest: The rubber/silicone material allows for maximum comfort while placing the hand in it which is a key factor for mouse users. - Symmetrical design: Its unique symmetrical shape makes this product functional for both right and left-handed users.- Side buttons: There are three buttons placed on both sides which can be configured as the owner chooses, further allowing it to be used by both left and right-handed users.- Led profile: The led profile along the side illuminates the base giving it a distinctive futuristic look.As you can see in attached renders, each finish suits any gamers personality. The top and the main body are made in gloss black plastic. The scroll sphere can change in colour and material, e.g. red finish is made in matt red plastic whereas the blue model is made in gloss blue plastic. The led profile is made in frosted plastic and the colour changes depending on the finish. What color do you like the most?
