GamePi Advanced

GamePi Advanced

This is a design concept for a DIY portable game console that I've been developing over time. It's based on the GameBoy Advance, and if I were to build this project, I'd use a Raspberry Pi as the core component, hence the name. The current prototype features a micro USB charging port, an HDMI output, one USB type A port, a headphone jack - a relatively rare feature in modern devices! - 2 analog sticks, 1 directional pad, A, B, X, and Y buttons, R1, L1, R2, and L2 buttons, as well as start and select buttons. Additionally, it includes a 5-inch LCD screen. I've also incorporated screw holes for a Raspberry Pi 3 Model A+, and provided a separate model with only the casing that can be modified and printed to serve as a real project enclosure. However, due to its size, a Raspberry Pi 3B model wouldn't fit in this casing, making the A+ model the ideal choice. While this design isn't yet ready for printing, it could be made suitable with some minor adjustments. If anyone decides to take on this project and turns it into an actual console, I'd love to see how it turns out!
