Gamepad overlay for Blackberry Keyone
thingiverse
Update Oct 23rd, 2019: The 3D model remains unchanged, but a surprising discovery has been made - something very similar to this design already existed, known as the "game gripper", which was created around 2010 for Android and Nokia sliders. Fingers crossed that a product like this will hit the market again with the release of the FXtec Slider in 2019 or 2020. This game controller overlay is designed specifically to fit over the BlackBerry KeyOne keyboard, allowing its buttons and d-pad to press the physical keyboard's buttons. Since few games from the Google Play Store support physical controls, this design is mainly intended for playing emulators. So far, NES and N64 have been successfully emulated on the BlackBerry KeyOne, so it's assumed that SNES, Genesis, and PS1 will work just as well. However, the KeyOne's processing speed makes it too slow to emulate the DS at a proper pace, possibly the Key2 can handle this task. This is a rough draft, and I anticipate needing to remake the entire design in SolidWorks for it to print correctly. As a result, it hasn't been tested yet, so please don't expect it to work if you try to 3D print it.
