Gamecube Controller Joystick Caps
thingiverse
This simple cap is designed to replace worn-out GameCube joystick tips.\nThe rubber section, prone to wear after prolonged use, gets replaced by this cap.\nI've included multiple styles, with my favorite being the neg_ridge model - it feels most similar to the original.\nTo test tolerances, I recommend printing a single cap first, then moving on to print the plate and test out various options.\nThe model is meant for rigid plastic, held in place with adhesives (a ninjaflex version may be worked on later).\nInstallation is straightforward: remove remaining rubber bits from the joystick, press the cap onto the plastic nub.\nI used blu-tack to keep mine on, but hot glue should work just fine.\nReplacing a tip on a controller with existing rubber isn't recommended - it'll likely result in a worse gaming experience.
