The project focuses on creating a basic GameCube model using everyday materials that are readily available at home or in most schools. To start off, you will need to acquire several cardboard boxes of various sizes. These will serve as the primary components of our model. You may also use old CD cases and cardboard tubes to add some extra details. Cut out holes for the vents on the sides and top of the largest box, which will form the main body of the GameCube. Use a marker to draw a line around the edge of each hole to help guide your cuts. Once you have cut out the holes, use scissors or a craft knife to carefully remove any excess cardboard from around the edges. Next, take one of the smaller boxes and cut out a rectangular section on the top to create a slot for the GameCube's disc tray. Cut another identical rectangle on the bottom of this box to serve as the disc tray itself. Cut two small rectangles from a piece of cardboard and glue them onto either side of the disc tray, creating a thin border around its edges. This will give it a more authentic look. Now, take one of the cardboard tubes and cut it in half lengthwise to create the GameCube's optical drive. Cut a small rectangle out of a piece of cardboard and glue it to the top of each half, creating a flat surface. Cut two identical rectangles from a piece of cardboard and attach them to either side of the optical drive, creating a thin border around its edges. This will give it a more authentic look. Finally, take some markers or paint and decorate your GameCube model as desired. You can add buttons, vents, or any other details you like. Once you have finished decorating, use glue to attach the disc tray and optical drive to their respective slots on the main body of the GameCube. Make sure they are securely attached so that they do not fall off easily. And that's it! Your basic GameCube model is now complete.
