Gameboy Null Acrylic Gluing Jig
thingiverse
I made a little jig to keep the acrylic pieces for the Gameboy Null in place while I glue them together using acrylic solvent. The Gameboy Null is a retro gaming handheld system created by Ampersand of the Sudomod community. You can find out more about this project on Tindie. To prevent the solvent from seeping into the enclosure, apply painters tape around its edges like shown in the third picture or along the edges of the acrylic. If you don't take this precaution, the solvent may push through to the other side and get stuck inside. The clips are intended to be slightly loose, holding the acrylic in place. In my testing, I found that if they were too tight, the bottom of the acrylic would bend outwards, creating a lip on the outside in thin sections. Clips needed: 2x 14mm 2x 3.5mm 1x 13.2mm 1x 12.6mm 1x 13.6mm
