The Game Boy Color is a handheld game console produced by Nintendo. It was released in Japan on October 21, 1998 and internationally in November of the same year. The Game Boy Color replaces its predecessor, the original Game Boy. This console boasts a color screen display. Compared to the Game Boy Pocket, it's thicker and taller with a slightly smaller screen size. Like the original Game Boy, it features an 8-bit processor made by Sharp that blends characteristics from both the Intel 8080 and Zilog Z80 processors.
