GameBoy Color Cartridge Mount

GameBoy Color Cartridge Mount

thingiverse

I bought a display case from Hobby Lobby to showcase my Gameboy Color consoles, but I found that placing them between the felt backing and glass didn't work well. The buttons were permanently pushed in which worried me could damage them, and they tended to shift around. I want to preserve these Gameboys (not ruin them), as I want them to be playable in the future. I searched for a suitable way to mount them, and finally came up with the idea of attaching them from the cartridge slot. The result is a printable cartridge that has holes for screws. These shouldn't damage the Gameboys because they're exactly the same size as a cartridge. Be sure to read the post-printing instructions before trying to install these. I'm also including small clips for the back of the display case that allow for extra depth, and hold it in place securely. Flip the included clips on the display case outward to push it further back, and then attach the printed clips on the back to secure the felt backing in place.
