Based on "Handpainting Challenge - Gameboy" by Curlscurly, and "GameBoy Pokemon ! [1hourChallenge]" by rommalart, licensed under CC Attribution-ShareAlike. Workflow: - Make some adjustments to the model geometry in Maya. - Create a new UV Mapping in Maya. - Add height and details on Substance Painter. - Handpaint the model on Substance Painter. - Bake lighting and other maps into a single Diffuse map. - Add some details on Photoshop and import the new game menu (painted on Clip Studio). - Duplicate the mesh, and create an outline effect. This challenge turned out to be a fantastic way to spend my Sunday! As a lifelong Pokémon fan, I thought it would be awesome to make the Pokémon Special Edition GameBoy. I used Maya to make some changes to the mesh. For texturing, I relied mainly on Substance.
