Updated to Version 2!!! Note: Through the size of the Gameboy-Camera's sensor this assembly results in a crop factor of ~7.6. This causes all regular lenses to become (extreme) zoom lenses. Yet a 10mm fisheye can nicely be used as a decent portrait lens. The attached moon image was taken with a Canon 70-200mm f2.8 lens at 200mm. The attached red image was taken from across the street (at ~20m) with a Tokina 10-17mm lens at 10mm. The whole assembly can be reverted back to the original camera. No actual camera parts need to be damaged/manipulated The new Version is far more rigid. Instead of using the existing screws from the original camera it instead requires 6x M2 screws and 6x threaded inserts which get glued into the printed model. By this the print does not get stressed so much at the attachment points. Parts required: 2x screw M2x4 4x screw M2x8 6x Washer 2x insert M2x4x3.5 4x insert M2x8x3.5 Assembly: Glue the threaded inserts into the model using some strong epoxy. Take care not to get glue into the threads. Disassemble your camera and keep all parts in case you want to revert back to the original. The only two required parts from the "ball-head" are the actual sensor pcb (without the original lens) and the backside halfball. It's enough to unplug the cable from the main PCB only. Thread the cable through the printed part (wait until the epoxy is fully cured first!). Screw in sensor and back-cover. Connect cable to main-pcb again. Attach the new ball to the white mount that gets held between the cartridges shell halfs. Assemble the cartridge again. The part for version 1 is still downloadable, but I have had reports of the part not printing correctly, so I'd strongly recommend to use the better version 2!
