Game of Ur
thingiverse
I discovered a captivating video about the Game of Ur, which sparked my interest in creating a custom game from scratch using Tinkercad. Drawing inspiration from the original design, I designed my own game with intricate details and colorful elements that can be printed using a single nozzle with pause-time adjustments for filament swaps. This multi-color effect adds an exciting dimension to the game. The board was divided into multiple parts to facilitate easy travel, storage, and printing on smaller machines. These individual components were crafted with precision, ensuring a perfect fit without the need for adhesives. Only the pins of the play pieces required a small amount of glue, as I wanted to prevent them from becoming dislodged during gameplay. To complete my custom Game of Ur, I also painted the dice tips white, giving them a striking appearance reminiscent of the authentic game. This attention to detail adds an extra layer of authenticity to my creation.
