Update 8/4: Added a version without pins, as requested by many. Also added a second design variation featuring a larger, flatter base on the lower piece. If you'd like to remix this project to close with a lip instead of pins, please let me know and I'll post images before adding the pins. This model was printed using PLA at 2.0 mm without supports and scaled up over 1000%. To print successfully, place the base straight up and print the top with the wide end on the platform. Using Simplify3D, I combined two processes into one: a 50% infill for 10mm on the base of the lower piece, which adds weight and reduces tipping. The rest of the model was printed with 20% infill.
