<p>####UPDATE####</p><p>I have now uploaded a Walking Dead top. I have not printed this, but it is just a mod of the original.</p><p>This was my first project using Fusion 360. Although I found learning and using the program extremely frustrating at time, I think the results are really good and is an application well worth learning, especially as it is totally free. https://www.autodesk.co.uk/products/fusion-360/overview.</p><p>To set the calendar you simply move the pull out knob on the side to one of four positions to turn the appropriate dial. My original design didn’t take into account the friction of the outer spindle moveing all of the dials, so I added the four little brakes. These require a small spring, I was originally going to print some plastic springs, but as I intended to perinatal glue the model together, I decided against this in case they snapped. I used a spring I had use in my bobble head project and just cut it to length: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01EOIEM7U/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01__o00_s00?ie=UTF8&amp;psc=1</p><p>The brake levers were originally designed to be attached with a small piece of filament and I sized the holes to 1.8mm, but due to shrinkage while printing the holes were too small. I finally used a small length of copper wire from an old piece of household electrical cable and bent the end to keep it in place.</p><p>The whole model was printed with a 20% infill, using supports and a brim for the top.</p><p>###TIP###</p><p>When I painted my model I didn’t paint the spaces, thinking they didn’t need it being an internal part. However, you can see these, so don’t make the same mistake as I did.<br>&nbsp;</p>
