"Nymeros" proudly declares their lineage from the legendary warrior queen Nymeria, whose union with the Martells dates back to 700 BC. From the imposing stronghold of Sunspear in southeastern Dorne, Prince of Dorne commands his kingdom. The Martell family's ancient emblem remains a spear, while Nymeria and her Rhoynar warriors proudly bore the symbol of the sun. When Lord Mors Martell wedded Nymeria, their combined symbols took shape as a gold spear piercing a red sun on an orange background, forever entwining their histories. Their unyielding motto is Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken. Physically, they embody what Daeron I Targaryen once described as the rugged Dornishmen, with dark eyes, ringleted dark hair, and olive-toned skin.
