Game counters for Card Collectible Games like Magic: The Gathering or Pokémon have multiple components: a face with a negative number, a middle piece called a button, and another face showing a positive number. These three parts fit together perfectly to create consistent results when printing on your print bed. Each button in the middle has four holes and every other face includes two posts arranged at a diagonal angle. The faces showing negatives have opposing diagonals that make them line up correctly with the buttons on a vertical axis without needing to rotate anything. To create these custom game counters, I used an OpenSCAD routine that offers many customization options. You can adjust where you want the posts located or choose between using rounded grooves and full-sized holes. Changing counter text is also straightforward. However, I have only shared the required models for making positive and negative faces from -1 to +4. If you need the full OpenSCAD file, feel free to ask me directly via message. Here are the details of how they were printed: Print Settings Printer: FlashForge Dreamer Rafts: None needed Supports: None necessary Resolution: Set to .2mm Infill: Uses a consistent 20% level After printing, simply apply some adhesive or epoxy glue to hold everything together. Notes: While I usually print three shells for maximum durability, two could work too and likely won't have much of an effect on performance. Since these are designed to be printed in layers stacked atop one another, they end up being rather resilient due to their construction method.
