Game Card Sleeves and Tray

<b><u>Summary:</u></b> There are a ton of card holders available but I figured I would add some more. My first plan was to design a generic sized box to hold a variety of different sized card decks but struggled with an easy closing mechanism. I ended up deciding that in the case of playing cards, Broccoli elastics are your friend. Forget about fancy clips that tend to not work when you need them to. The first box is a two piece card tray that can be used together or individually. Stick your cards in and use an elastic to hold them in place. The trays can also be used as discard holders, while playing the games. The trays are also large enough to hold a sleeved set of cards (or more) if desired. I then decided that printing this took too long so I decided to design some simple sleeves that print faster and hold the cards nicely. I opted to use spiralize or vase mode where the printing is generally fast and even. The two sleeve pieces are marked by a single hole (outside/top) and double hole (inside/bottom) on the part of the model that is placed on the build plate for slicing. The holes make it easier to make sure you are fitting the proper parts together. I used 0.6mm wall thickness and about a 1mm base with a 0.32 layer height. When Cura is set to spiralize the block will print hollow with a single 0.6mm wall. I use a skirt to make it a simple, clean print. The size of the sleeves should be matched to the size of the cards in order to have a snug fit. I made the height of each sleeve relatively long in order to add a little extra friction so they do not slip apart too easily. My regular playing cards are about 64mm wide and the stack is about 16mm thick but I also have some that are 57mm and 58mm wide. a few of the other types of cards I have are: UNO: 56x32 Couch Skeletons: 64x28 Karma: 57x20 Blink: 56x18 The sizes also need to be different if you want to include the instructions in the same box. Most of the cards are under 90mm tall so I just use 90mm as the card height since the sleeves will adjust to height without a problem. To keep things simple I have included 4 generic sizes of sleeve that should hold most card sizes. These are: 57x20 57x34 64x16 64x32 Due to the differences in card sizes and deck thickness it might be easiest to print a standard, larger size sleeve and then print some filler cards to make the deck(s) fit more snugly inside the sleeve. A printed filler could also be used as a deck separator when placing more than one deck in a single sleeve or could be slid between the two sleeve halves if they slide too easily. I have included an example. These could be made to whatever thickness you need. Sleeves could also be made large enough to hold golf pencils or small timers if they are comparable to the deck size. The sleeve design is based around a wall thickness of 0.6mm (Spiralize mode) so you could adjust this wall size slightly if you find that the parts are too loose or too tight. You can also scale your model in the slicer by a small amount to make adjustments if necessary. If you find a major problem with fitment please let me know.
