This case is a precise replica of the original Game Boy case. Its purpose is to house all electronics required to build a fully functional Game Boy Zero. To ensure accuracy, I measured an original case with precision calipers and carefully translated those measurements into 3D models. As a beginner in both 3D modeling and 3D printing, I utilized OpenSCAD for this project, discovering Fusion 360 after nearly completing it. You may notice adjustments to the case that facilitated the printing process; these modifications include eliminating the areas around the buttons and replacing the notch in the speaker area with a flat surface. I dedicated several weeks to perfecting this design, undergoing numerous iterations before reaching my current status. In the future, I plan to enhance the case further by incorporating additional details. For the printing process, I used PLA material. The blue images show the results of printing without any post-processing. In contrast, the white case parts underwent a series of treatments: first printed, then sanded, followed by application of putty to smooth the surface, and repeated sanding and puttying until the desired finish was achieved. Finally, I applied primer and spray paint to complete the process. Unfortunately, I have yet to design the lid, but an original lid fits perfectly when used.
