Gale Crater
cults3d
This STL file is a topographic model of Gale Crater with three times vertical exaggeration derived from data collected by the High Resolution Stereo Camera onboard the European Space Agency's Mars Express mission. Gale Crater is currently being explored by NASA's Curiosity Rover. Printed at its default size, this model covers an area approximately 200 kilometers across at a scale of nearly two million to one (one centimeter equals nineteen kilometers). Data credit goes to K. Gwinner, J. Oberst, R. Jaumann, and G.Neukum from the European Space Agency in collaboration with DLR/FU Berlin. The creator of this model is Doug Ellison, a NASA-JPL representative.
