Galaxy S9+ Case Captain Marvel
thingiverse
This is a phone case for the Samsung Galaxy S9+. It incorporates the pager that Nick Fury uses in Avengers: Infinity War to call Captain Marvel before he turns too ash. This model is designed to be glued together. There are small holes where the two halves of the phone case meet that are ~1.75mm. Cut a few small pieces of 1.75mm filament and use them to keep the case aligned and closed. Glue the Pager parts to the red half, and glue the star to the blue half. If printed well, it completely covers (disables) the Bixby button. If it is pressing the Bixby button once the phone is in the case, use a tool to make the slot on the inside of the case deeper. I originally designed the case so that the star was also glued to the red half; this way, the bottom set of arms from the star could be used to lock the two halves of the case together. This still works, but I found that it makes the star more likely to lift and get caught on things. If you have dissolvable filament on hand, you can use this trick. Center the "Top Red Desolvable .3mm.stl" on the print bed in your slicing software. Print it with a .3mm initial layer height (should be only one layer printed). Once printed, remove ALL of the pieces of the print EXCEPT the pager shaped piece and the thin rectangle next to it. Then print the "Top Red.stl" OR "Top Red w supports.stl" file right on top of it (centered on the print bed). Use a .3mm initial layer height on this Red part also. This will give you nice dissolvable support for the trickiest part for post-processing. Use this technique at your own risk.
