Galaxy S7 Wireless Charger Powerbank Case
thingiverse
My son's Galaxy S7 Edge can't be charged via USB anymore due to a serious defect. The only way for him to charge it is by using wireless or contactless charging methods. This makes charging extremely inconvenient, especially when he's on the road: He has to carry not only his phone and power bank but also the charger with him every time. I bought one of those super-cheap Chinese Qi charging pads from AliExpress, took it apart, and printed a custom case where I embedded the electronics. You can see the original charger in the photos - there are screws behind the bottom pads. The case fits this charger circuit board on the inside, along with a XIAOMI Power Bank 2 (10,000 mAh). This project is open-source and was created using OpenSCAD. It should be easily adaptable for any other type of smartphone and power bank... One of the files is a Cura project file, which shows how I printed the case: position it upright, switch on support (for the clamp tips) and use Cura's "Support Blocker" feature to avoid support on the rest of the case. It's not really necessary!
