Galaxy S5 Hard Case (Revised)
pinshape
I designed this custom case for the Samsung Galaxy S5 specifically to fit its unique shape. As a creator of designer cases, I use this base model to craft one-of-a-kind phone covers that stand out from the crowd. When printing my cases, I utilize a precise 0.1 mm layer height, along with a shell thickness of 0.8 mm and a bottom/top thickness of 0.8 mm. This ensures a high-quality finish, whether I'm using ABS or PLA materials. To give you an idea of what's possible with this base model, I've included design samples that showcase the versatility of this case design. Feel free to use these examples as inspiration for your own custom creations. As for updates, I've made some significant improvements to the original design. On April 2nd, 2014, I shifted the power and volume button slots to better center them on the actual buttons. This change also resulted in a slightly shorter case depth, reducing it from 11 mm to 10.95 mm. Additionally, I included a test print STL file so you can preview the fit without wasting too much material. If you're interested in exploring older designs, you can find all of them in the zip archive. On January 17th, 2014, I uploaded two new cases based on this base design. These minimalist cases feature plain and hex patterned sides, top, and bottom, providing complete access to the power and volume buttons. By removing the top edge, these cases eliminate any potential interference with your swipe gestures.
