Galaxy S4 battery charger / Batterie Ladestation
thingiverse
Here is a simple yet elegant battery charger for the Galaxy S4 battery that's easy to make and requires minimal materials. To get started, you'll need to purchase a Lithium Battery Charging Board with Micro USB plug from eBay for just €1. Mine can be found here: http://www.ebay.de/itm/380857012621?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT For the battery pins, I used some robust copper wire that can spring back into shape or a thin metal plate. Simply bend it with some small tongs like in the photo to create the necessary connections. I've also uploaded the raw files from Designspark Mechanical so you can remix the design or make any adjustments as needed. You can easily modify it to fit other batteries as well. UPDATE The latest version (v7) now features spring-loaded pins, making the overall design more refined and tweaked. To get the pins, simply visit: http://www.ebay.de/itm/191832709234?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT To insert the pins into the print, pause the print one layer before the top is closed and carefully insert them. Move the extruder head away from the print while it's paused to prevent melting. Then simply resume the print, and the pins will be securely in place. Print Settings: Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Prusa i3x Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 100% Notes: Print slowly to ensure a snug fit. You may need to adjust the X and Y steps to match the measurements. No support is required. Pause the print in v7 at layer 24 (0.2mm) to insert the spring-loaded pins.
